ActionAid Hellas (AAH) is searching for a Local Programs Communications Officer to join a global movement of committed individuals, working to further human rights and defeat poverty.
We are an independent, international organization that has been working since 1972 with over 15 million people in 45 countries for a world free from poverty and injustice.
Requirements
We are currently recruiting a dynamic professional with an academic degree in Media, Communications, Journalism or Marketing and at least two (2) years of working experience in social media management /copy writing/ journalism or other relevant positions to join our team in Thessaloniki. We are looking for candidates with excellent communication (Greek and English) and interpersonal skills, along with attention to detail and proven record in youth oriented social media management, copywriting and editing skills, and knowledge of analytics-based reporting.
The Local Programs Communications Officer will:
- Create social media accounts, gather, and manage youth-oriented content
- Build and maintain a community of social media followers advocating AA values
- Monitor social media performance and create respective reporting
- Gather and manage content for AA Thessaloniki Local Programs’ web site
- Identify and produce content for Press Releases and other media features (interviews, articles, stories, etc.) promoting AA Thessaloniki Local programs’ work
- Coordinate the production of audiovisual material featuring the work of AA in Thessaloniki
