Brepols Publishers is an international, renowned academic publisher in the humanities with 50 employees. The list covers publications in history, (classical) literature, history of philosophy, – of religion, – of the arts, – of science etc. Alongside its portfolio of printed and electronic scholarly books and journals, Brepols publishes state-of-the-art online databases. Brepols is based in Turnhout (Belgium) and has offices in Thessaloniki (GR), Nottingham (UK), and Los Angeles (USA).

Editorial & Bibliographic Assistant
Based in our Thessaloniki office, you will contribute to the creation of book metadata and give assistance to publishing managers abroad. Drawing on your knowhow, experience and your team spirit you will perform the following tasks:
– complete bibliographic records of books, by checking and completing subject fields, assigning keywords or other metadata
– followup the publication program of distributed titles
– distribute metadata
– support publishing managers by
o performing proofreading, blurb editing, etc.
o communicating with contacts internally and externally
o doing administrative tasks
Are you an Editorial & Bibliographic Assistant who:
… has a university degree in history, with a broad view of European history and culture,
… is a native or near-native English speaker and has a good passive knowledge of French and other European languages
… is well organised and has good communication skills
… is accurate and efficient?
… is a flexible and diligent team player with the skills to work individually and to finish projects autonomously?
